Mayssa Abboud is a member of the Beirut Bar Association (Syndicate of Lawyers).
Mayssa graduated from the faculty of Law and Political
Science of Saint Joseph University with an LLB in Private Law in 2015, followed by a Master II (DEA) in Private Law from the same institution in 2018.
She obtained in 2015 a certificate in International Private Law from The Hague Academy of Internal Law. She also holds a University Diploma in Mediation from the Professional Mediation Center (CPM) of the Saint-Joseph University in 2017.

Prior to joining O&M, Mayssa has worked as an Associate in Kobeissi & Frangie Attorneys and Counselors at Law, where she started her career as a trainer lawyer and junior associate in 2015.

She has worked closely on funds incorporated according to Circular 331, and gained practical experience in all legal related issues to funds, capital ventures, startups and incorporations. She has been dealing with both small and large venture capital investments and has been advising on all related transactions and legal matters.

Mayssa is an activist in many humanitarian organizations. She has been a volunteer in the Lebanese Red Cross – youth department since 2009 where she held many board positions. She also joined the Rotary community in Lebanon since 2013, as a member of Rotaract Club De Beyrouth – USJ and is the founder and Past President of the Rotaract Club De Beyrouth Millenium. In 2021, Mayssa served as a Vice-District Rotaract Representative for Lebanon. She held many positions in the Rotaract District 2452 which Lebanon is part of along with eight other countries. She is currently the District Executive Secretary and the Deputy District Rotaract Representative for Lebanon.

In O&M, Mayssa provides clients with legal opinions and conducts legal due diligences for groups of companies with regards to corporate acquisition transactions. She regularly advises clients on a wide spectrum of corporate matters with in depth expertise in corporate structures and restructurings and M&A transactions. She is also extensively experienced in drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements and contracts for different genres of transactions in multiple sectors.

She is trilingual (Arabic, English and French).
